The Malta Premier League unveiled 360Sports as the major sponsor of the 2024-25 top-flight championship that will be organised for the first time by the association representing the 12 participating clubs.

The Malta Premier League also unveiled the new emblem of the championship that will get under way in August under a new format.

Speaking to the media, Alan Abela, chairman of the Malta Premier League Ltd, said that their sponsorship agreement with 360Sports was the largest private deal in Maltese sport.

“360Sports have agreed a deal with the Malta Premier League Ltd to become the new naming rights partner of the Malta Premier in what is the largest ever private sponsorship in Maltese sports,” Abela told a news conference.

“The value of this sponsor amounts to over €600,000 over three seasons and no doubt this is the biggest private sponsorship in Maltese sport. This agreement will increase league sponsorship revenues by 800 per cent for a total of one million euros for this period.

“The sponsorship is for three years and demonstrates 360Sports’ confidence in the new Malta Premier, which it chose to make its international debut for its upcoming fan engagement services.”

Abela lauded Malta Premier League chairman Joseph Muscat as the mastermind behind this deal.

“This is a vote of confidence by the business community in the new attitude, leadership and format of the league,” Abela said.

“The force behind making the 360Sports Malta Premier register a surplus from its first edition is Malta Premier League chairman Joseph Muscat who worked hard to generate this unprecedented international and national commercial interest in Maltese football,” said Mr Abela.

The league’s new emblem was unveiled during the news conference, having the Maltese Falcon at its centre.

The emblem will now be worn on the sleeve of every team competing in the league.

The logo of 360Sports has been incorporated into the new Malta Premier emblem, which was selected following a public call and adapted accordingly.

Franz Josef Cauchi, Director of 360Sports Malta, was delighted with their partnership agreement with the Malta Premier League.

“We are honoured to become the title partner of the country’s elite football competition, a league with an iconic history and a passionate fan base,” he said.

“Our CEO, Nasib Piriyev had the vision to make Malta the home for 360Sports internationally, and we feel this sponsorship aligns perfectly with our mission to enhance sports entertainment and fan engagement globally.

“We look forward to working closely with the Malta Premier League and the participating clubs to bring new and exciting experiences to the fans.”

Cauchi said that they are focused on increasing fans’ engagement through this experience.

“Our fan engagement platform enhances the football experience through content, social interactions, gaming, and sports data,” he said.

“This partnership will elevate how fans connect with the game and will drive the Malta Premier to new heights in digital engagement. We look forward to making a significant impact in the Maltese sports community.”

The fixtures for the 360Sports Malta Premier Opening Round will be drawn next Wednesday.
