Floriana FC have announced the signing of Brazilian fullback Fernandinho Augusto.
In a statement, the Premier League club said that the 30-year old had agreed terms with the club and will now start pre-season preparations with Darren Abdilla’s team.
“Floriana F.C is pleased to announce the signing of Brazilian Left Fullback, Fernandinho Augusto,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“Fernando Augusto Rodrigues de Araujo, 30, is a skillful and highly experienced left back and his addition to the squad will give an added value to the Greens’ backline.
“In his past experiences, Fernandinho had various spells in his native country Brazil besides spells in Europe namely North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo.
“We wish Fernandinho the best of luck for the upcoming season in Green and White!”
Fernandinho becomes Floriana’s third signing completed in the past week after they announced deals for Nigerian forward Anthony Obonogwu, formerly of Marsaxlokk FC, and Thiaguino Santos.
Floriana will start their European adventure next week when they face San Marino side Tre Penne.
