Mark Cavendish made Tour de France history on Wednesday winning a record 35th stage at the age of 39.
Cavendish equalled all-time great Eddy Merckx’s record of 34 wins in 2021, and with this 35th triumph is now the sole owner of the record for stage wins in the world’s greatest bike race.
