Balzan FC have announced that they signed Nigerian winger Awosanya Oluwatobiloba Dimeji on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell at the club.
“Balzan F.C. is pleased to announce the signing of Nigerian winger Awonsanja Oluwale,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“Olu was on loan last season from Slovenian club Domzale and had a very successful season with our Minors – as well as making his mark with several appearances in the Premier League with the Balzan first team.”
Oluwatobiloba arrived at the club during the close season, and was part of Oliver Spiteri’s first team squad during both their European commitments in the UEFA Conference League as well as the Premier League and the FA Trophy.
The Nigerian forward made 21 appearances with the club, scoring one goal and provided two assists.
The move is a clear sign that the Nigerian is highly-regarded by new club coach Dave Rogers and is likely to play a key role for the club this season.
