Hibernians FC are set to complete the signing ofBrazilian wingback Kleiton, the Times of Malta can confirm.
The 25-year-old left back has an agreement in principle with the Maltese Premier League side and is expected to complete his transfer to Hibernians over the weekend.
In fact, Kleiton is expected to arrive in Malta on Saturday to rubberstamp personal terms and put pen to paper on a one-year contract.
Kleiton is set to become Hibernians’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window. The Paolites have already agreed terms with Spanish goalkeeper Pablo Sanchez, defenders Pedrao and Dexter Xuereb, as well as Argentine forward Federico Falcone.
The Brazilian left-back spent the majority of his career in Brazil where he donned the colours of Pernambucaro, Vera Cruz and Nova Iguacu.
Last season, Kleiton moved to Moldova where he joined top-flight club FC Balti.
In Moldova, Kleiton made 21 appearances with the club, helping them to a fifth place finish in the league and the semi-finals of the Moldovan Cup.
