Last weekend, the Island Karting Club and Karting Club Malta, in collaboration with the Malta Motorsport Federation, hosted the fourth round of the 2024 National Karting Championship at the La Reve racetrack in Ħal Far.
The first day was dedicated to the classes of the youngest drivers, including the Day Race, Rotax Micro, GR3, and Iame X30 Junior.
The winners of the diverse classes were as follows: Luca Camilleri triumphed in the Day race ahead of Zara Vella Gauci who secured the second position.
Andrei Fenech emerged victorious in the Rotax Micro Class, with Solberg Galea and Jake Jordan Micallef following closely behind.
Zane Pace dominated the GR3 Class, with Zack Scicluna and Mattias Abela completing the other podium positions.
Delcine Galea emerged as the winner in the Iame X30 Junior, ahead of Daniel Abela and Dario Mifsud.
On Sunday, the championship hosted the senior classes,namely Vortex ROKGP, Rotax Max, Iame X30 and Iame X30 Master, with each participant showcasing their skills and determination.
Ryan Borg’s topped the standings in the Vortex ROKGP class, followed by Claude Brincat and Glenn Vassallo.
Eman Muscat secured a deserved victory in the Rotax Max class ahead of Bernard Vella and Timothy Zarb.
Kane Mallia placed first in in the Iame X30, a testament to his talent, and was followed by Miguel Grech and Kyle Micallef.
The Island Karting Club, Karting Club Malta, and the Malta Motorsport Federation have already set the stage for the fifth round of the championship that will be held on September 14 and 15 at the La Reve Racetrack in Hal Far.
