Farrugia Cann to take charge of Europa League qualifier in Kosovo.
Ishmael Barbara and Duncan Spencer are part of the referees’ contingent that has been appointed at the ongoing men’s U-19 European Championships in Northern Ireland.
Barbara and Spencer, both FIFA referees, are part of a group which consists of six referees, eight assistant referees and a couple of fourth officials.
In the opening day on Tuesday, Barbara was appointed as fourth official while Spencer was the assistant referee in France’s last-gasp victory over Turkey.
On Thursday, Barbara will be the referee for Italy’s match against hosts Northern Ireland with Spencer set to be one of the assistant referees.
The Italian team is the current holders having won last year’s edition in Malta.
Meanwhile, Maltese referee Trustin Farrugia Cann will be in charge of a Europa League qualifier on Thursday.
The FIFA referee has been appointed to take control of the second leg tie between KF Llapi of Kosovo and Poland’s Wisla Krakow.
He will be joined by assistant referees Duncan Sultana and James Muscat while Daniel Portelli will be the fourth official.
