Assikura Insurance Brokers PCC Limited are pleased to announce that they have renewed their sponsorship agreement for the women’s senior and youth football competitions for another season.
Consolidating the positive collaboration with the Malta Football Association in support of women’s football, Assikura Insurance Brokers have confirmed their status as exclusive title sponsors of the main women’s competitions for the third year running.
The agreement includes the Assikura Women’s League, Knock-Out and Super Cup as well as the Assikura Women’s Youth League and Assikura Women’s Youth KO. It also covers the individual honours associated with these competitions, namely the Assikura Women’s League and Assikura Women’s Youth League player of the month awards, and the Assikura Women’s League Coach of the Round accolade.
Dr Angelo Chetcuti, General Secretary of the Malta FA, said: “We are pleased to be extending our partnership with Assikura Insurance Brokers as sponsors of the women’s senior and youth competitions.
“We consider companies like Assikura as key partners for the Association as their backing is very important for us not only to sustain the domestic competitions but also to raise the image and profile of women’s football at club level.
“This partnership complements the unified efforts of the Malta FA, clubs, players, coaches and all stakeholders to extend the positive momentum driving the growth of women’s football in Malta, from grassroots to senior football.”
Andrew Grech, Managing Director of Assikura Insurance Brokers PCC Ltd, said his company is happy to be associated with women’s football in Malta.
“When we launched this partnership two years ago, some may have been surprised by this decision as Assikura became the first exclusive sponsors of the women’s football competitions,” Mr Grech said.
“However, from day one, we believed in the potential of women’s football and saw this as an opportunity to support this movement as part of our corporate social responsibility programme while enhancing our brand in terms of visibility and positive perceptions.
“We look at partnership agreements as a two-way relationship based on respect and a mutual willingness to deliver positive results for the benefit of all the parties involved, and we are convinced that these objectives are being achieved through this collaboration.”
