Malta women player Maya Lucia will continue her career in Poland after joining Gdansk of the top-flight.
Lucia, 21, will spend her third consecutive season abroad having already played in Italy and Croatia.
In the previous 2023/2024 season, Lucia started the campaign on the books of Split before swapping them for Osijek during the winter transfer window.
With Osijek, Lucia won the Croatian championship and reached the domestic cup final too.
In Croatian football, Lucia played 22 games and scored three goals.
She also played 15 matches in Italy having been on the books of Serie B club Genoa.
At international level, Lucia collected six caps for the Malta women’s team.
Gdansk, on their part, have already started the 2024/2025 season, as they recorded one point in their opening two matches.
They face Tczew away on August 31 in their next league match.
Last season they finished in the top-flight as they still seek their first ever national title. In 2022/2023, Gdansk were runners-up in the domestic cup.
