Maria Farrugia made her debut for Sheffield United in their opening match of the Barclays Women’s Championship against Durham, last weekend.
The Malta women forward was deployed from the start, but could not prevent her new club from losing against Durham, one of her old clubs.
With this appearance, the Gozitan-born player has now reached a milestone of 100 matches in English football.
Her journey includes 55 appearances for Sunderland, 24 across Durham and Durham Academy, 20 for Lewes, and her most recent outing for Sheffield United.
