On her 50th appearance in English football, Ylenia Carabott opened her account with new club AFC Fylde.
The Malta women was in the starting formation as her club hosted Stockport County in the FA Women’s National League.
Carabott wrapped up AFC Fylde’s win with their third goal, producing a low-drive effort that beat Stockport County’s goalkeeper.
Carabott joined AFC Fylde this summer having been on the books of London Seaward, with whom she played 18 games between the first team and the reserve side.
In England, Carabott also played for Gillingham Women – 8 matches, and appeared in 19 games for Keynsham Town.
This was AFC Fylde’s first win of the season, having drew with Barnsley in their opening game before losing to Leeds United and Middlesbrough.
Their next match is a home cup tie against Chorley, this Sunday.
