A women’s polo match will be held at the Malta Equidrome in Marsa to raise funds for breast cancer awareness this weekend.
The ‘Polo for a Cause’ match is being organised by the Malta Polo Club on Saturday for Pink October.
Held at the Malta Equidrome in Marsa and free to attend, it will see two all-ladies teams go head to head. Team Dean Gera will feature Serena Galea, Rebecca Gera, Sophie Busuttil, and Gillian Gatt Pace Moore, while Team Marion Mizzi will feature Petra Vella, Ella Rose Parker, Emma Aquilina, and Abbie-Louise Bailey.
Attendees will be treated to free welcome drinks and nibbles at 11.30 am, with the match kicking off at 12pm. Following the match, a presentation of the cup will be held.
Raffle tickets will be sold at the event, with proceeds going to support breast cancer awareness initiatives. The raffle features prizes including vouchers from Dean Gera Salon, Chic Aesthetic Clinic, Marion Mizzi, and a one-night stay at Domus Zamitello in Valletta.
Those interested in lunch can book a seat for an asado BBQ lunch through the Malta Polo Club.
After lunch, a party will be held at the Malta Polo Club Clubhouse starting at 5pm and featuring DJ Marcela.
The event is being held in partnership with the NGO Donna Europa Malta, which is dedicated to empowering women and raising awareness about breast cancer. Their mission focuses on providing education, resources, and support to women facing health challenges.
The event is made possible thanks to the invaluable support of EquestriMalta, Malta’s equine sport authority, and sponsors Coca-Cola, Schweppes, Stella Artois, Finestral, Evelina, Marion Mizzi, Dean Gera, Chic Aesthetic Clinic, Domus Zamitello, Tina’s Dolcerija, DJ Marcela, and Mood.
