Salamatu Abdulai 28, 62; Karima Abdulai 45.
Swieqi United dismantled champions Birkirkara to join the Stripes at the top of the table in the Assikura Women’s League.
The Owls, with two goals in the first half, went on to find their first win of the season against Birkirkara and make amends for their 4-1 defeat in the first round.
Ghana pair Salamatu Abdulai and Karima Abdulai scored the goals for Dorianne Theuma’s side.
Swieqi and Birkirkara are now level on 22 points and Hibernians are now with a chance to regain top spot should they beat Mtarfa on Saturday.
