Hibernians returned to winning ways after beating Mtarfa and regain top spot in the Assikura Women’s League.
The Paolites made amends for last week’s defeat to Mġarr United, their first loss of the season.
The Greens, on their part, defeated Valletta to stay close to keep closing the gap with the top teams.
In fact, the top four teams are divided by just two points after 10 league outings.
In the other match, San Ġwann eased past Lija Athletic with Hailey Russell scoring five goals, moving first in the league’s scoring charts.
Hibs took 29 minutes to break the deadlock through Nicole Sciberras before adding another one before the half-time whistle through Rodianne Zerafa.
After the break, Leah Ayres scored twice while the other goal was registered by Alexis Espitia.
Valeria Villegas scored twice to propel Mġarr to a 4-0 win over Valletta.
Yulya Carella, now on 11 goals and the club’s best scorer, added another before Kayah Sciberras scored one late herself.
