Sliema Wanderers are closing in on the signing of Ukrainian forward Maksym Pryadum.
The Blues are desperate to add more firepower to their squad during this month’s transfer window as they battle for a top two spot in the Closing Round of the 360 Sports Malta Premier.
It is understood that an agreement has been reached between all parties. The player is expected to undergo a medical test, and if all goes according to plan, he is likely to be announced as a new Sliema Wanderers player.
The 27-year-old has spent the majority of his career in Ukraine where he donned the colours of Zirka, Arsenal Kyiv and Metalist among others. He was seen as a major talent and in fact he managed to represent Ukraine at Under 21 level.
He also had a short spell in Armenia where he was on the books of Lokomotiv.
Sliema Wanderers are desperate to kickstart their Closing Round campaign, particularly after losing their opening match to Żabbar St Patrick 1-0 on MatchDay One.
Sliema, who on Saturday thrashed Għajnsielem 8-0 to reach the Last 16 of the FA Trophy, face Naxxar Lions on Friday.
