Updated: Eagles thwart Chiefs’ three-peat bid to win Super Bowl

In a dominant performance at Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles have secured a commanding 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts delivered an exceptional game, completing 11 of 15 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns, while also setting a Super Bowl record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 72 yards.

The Eagles’ defense was formidable, recording six sacks without blitzing and forcing multiple turnovers, including a pivotal pick-six by rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean.

The Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, struggled throughout the game, managing only 22 points against the relentless Eagles’ defense. Despite their efforts, they were unable to overcome the early deficit.

The halftime show featured a dynamic performance by Kendrick Lamar, who was introduced by Samuel L. Jackson dressed as Uncle Sam. Lamar delivered a medley of his hits, culminating with “Not Like Us,” accompanied by special guests SZA and a surprise appearance by tennis legend Serena Williams.
