Żabbar St Patrick have announced the signing of veteran midfielder Ryan Scicluna.
The 31-year-old midfielder joins the Saints after parting ways with Marsaxlokk as his contract with the southerners came to an end and he was not offered a new contract.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Ryan Scicluna!” Żabbar said in a statement.
“Ryan, 31, brings a wealth of experience to the club. Having played primarily for Birkirkara F.C., with stints at Balzan, Sirens and most recently serving as captain of Marsaxlokk F.C., Ryan’s leadership and versatility are invaluable. He has also earned 5 caps with the Malta National Team, showcasing his quality at the highest level.
“Ryan’s presence both on and off the pitch will undoubtedly strengthen our squad.
“Ryan, Welcome to Zabbar.”
Scicluna brings a wealth of experience in the Maltese Premier League after making over 320 appearances in top-flight football, scoring 16 goals and providing 28 assists.
During his career, Scicluna donned the colours of Birkirkara with whom he won the league title in season 2012-13 and the FA Trophy in season 2014-15.
Scicluna also had spells with Balzan and Sirens before moving to Marsaxlokk in January 2023.
