Autodefence Wing Tchun Malta organisation will be organising an event to celebrate 33 years of Wing Tchun on the island.
An exclusive International Autodefence Wing Tchun Gathering will take place on October 11 and 12, at the Mediterranean School of Sports in Birkirkara.
This event will honour the legacy of Master Vince Cilia, who first introduced the art to Malta over three decades ago. The gathering is part of the Autodefence Wing Tchun system, developed by Grand Master Nick Smart and Grand Master Milan Prosenica.
The highlight of the weekend of activities will see Grand Master Nick Smart (UK) hosting a free session for the general Maltese public to join him for a free lesson in self-defence.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for people of all ages and fitness levels to experience the benefits of Wing Tchun first-hand from a world-renowned authority.
No prior experience is needed.

The Autodefence Wing Tchun Gathering will see the participation of an international delegation of masters who will be sharing their knowledge.
The esteemed panel includes: Grand Master Nick Smart (United Kingdom); Master Vince Cilia (Malta); Master Phil Marrow (United Kingdom); Master Eric Pascal (United Kingdom); Master Lali Horvath (Slovakia); Master Karel Šauperl (Slovenia); Master Luigi Buccioli (Italy); Master Jeremías Zaghis (Argentina and Sweden).
In a statement, the Autodefence Wing Tchun Malta said: “This is a rare chance to see world-class practitioners collaborate and teach right here in Malta.
“Whether you are an experienced martial artist or simply curious to learn a new skill, this event is not to be missed.”
