Chesterfield Town emphasised that the young Maltese goalkeeper will continue to play and train with Chesterfield FC Academy while also forming part of Alfreton Town FC’s match day in order to gain more valuable playing time experience in the Englis National League.

“This means he will continue to train and play with Chesterfield FC Academy while joining the match day squad with Alfreton Town FC for valuable match day development in the National League.
James will be in the Alfreton Town FC for tonight’s League game at Chorley FC and Saturday at home against AFC Fylde.
“While playing in the Squad for Chesterfield FC Youth Team on Friday against Oldham Athletic AFC before flying to Malta on Sunday for the international window.”
