GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks secured a convincing 6-0 win over White Hart in the Challenge Cup organised by the Malta Hockey Association.
Alessandro Piscopo and Alessandro Amore both scored a brace, while Gary Bonnici and Daniel Ellul also found the net. The match was officiated by umpires James Mizzi and Keith Calleja.
In Hockey 7s, Qormi Daikin continued their consistent form, although they faced a tough challenge in a 5-4 win over Floriana Young Stars.
Julian Zahra inspired Qormi with a hat-trick, while John Williams and Singh Sandhu added two further goals.
Floriana kept the game competitive with two goals from Justin Farrugia, Krista, and Damien Falzon. Umpires for the match were Oscar Toledano and Silvio Peralda.
In a closely contested Under-18 Championship match, Qormi Daikin edged GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks 6-5.
Nicole Zammit starred for Qormi, scoring four goals, with Giorgio Muscat adding two more.
Żurrieq responded with four goals from Jayden Cutajar and one from Nicolai Runza.
Umpires were Dario Cacopardo and Silvio Peralda.
In the Under-14 Championship, Floriana Young Stars defeated Marsaskala Heat 3-2.
Matteo Vella Chetcuti scored twice for the Greens, with Gabriel Cordina adding a third. Marsaskala Heat reduced the deficit through goals from Braylon Gatt Gellel and Liam Carabott. Umpires were Alessandro Amore and Keith Calleja.
