David Azzopardi elected Deputy President of the Maltese Olympic Committee

David Azzopardi has been elected Deputy President of the Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) following an Extraordinary General Meeting held with the participation of the Committee’s affiliated member federations.

The election was conducted in accordance with the Maltese Olympic Committee’s Statute and Electoral Regulations.

The election was contested by David Azzopardi, Dr Kirill Micallef Stafrace and Dr John Vella. 
Azzopardi secured a total of 35 votes, and will serve as Deputy President until the conclusion of the current Olympic quadrennial.  

During Tuesday’s election, Azzopardi collected 35 votes, Dr Micallef Stafrace garnered 25 votes, and Dr Vella achieved 6 votes.

The Maltese Olympic Committee thanked all candidates who contested the election, acknowledging their willingness to contribute their time, experience and commitment towards the Maltese sporting community and the continued development of sport in Malta.
