Ħamrun Spartans continued to strengthen their squad with the capture of Nigerian forward Blessing Eleke, the Premier League club announced.
“Ħamrun Spartans Football Club announces the signing of Blessing Eleke,” the Malta champions announced.
“The 29-year-old centre-forward joins us, bringing a wealth of international experience from Europe and beyond. His physical presence and attacking attributes shall strengthen our forward department for the upcoming season.”
The 29-year-old forward arrives at the Malta champions with an interesting CV as he played in some competitive championships throughout his career.
Eleke had a three-year spell in Slovenia, where he donned the colours of ND Gorica and NK Olimpija where he helped them to the 2016 league title.
Blessing then went to Switzerland, where he moved to FC Lucern.
He also played in the Turkish top flight with Genclerbirligi.
In 2022, he moved to Japan, where he played for Kashima Antlers.
Last year, he moved to Albania, where he played for FK Partizani before heading to Hungary, where he played for Kazincbaricka.
