André Schembri, assistant coach at Nea Salamis, has guided Cypriot side Nea Salamis to secure promotion to the Cypriot top-flight after a dominant campaign.
The club is competing in the second-tier this season following relegation in the previous campaign, with Schembri joining the technical staff in July.
On Saturday, Nea Salamis struck twice in the opening 11 minutes on their way to a 2-1 win at seventh-placed Asil Lysi.
The result ensured that Nea Salamis clinched promotion with seven matches to spare, as they moved on the 62-point mark and hold a remarkable 22-point lead over the second-placed side Omonia 29th May.
In the championship pool, they maintained perfect form – winning all seven matches, scoring 14 goals and conceding just three.
