Jonny returned to the Spartans last summer and after working hard to regain his fitness he was registered for the Malta Premier Closing Round.
The Brazilian scored some important goals for the Spartans but still could not help his team challenge for the Premier League title as they ended the season in third place.
In a statement on his social media, Jonny Robert expressed words of gratitude towards the Spartans.
“I want to thank the club from the bottom of my heart for all the support, dedication and opportunities it has given me,” Jonny wrote.
“It was an honour to be part of this family, to learn, grow and live special moments alongside amazing people.
“I take with me great memories, friendships and teachings that I will never forget. Thank you very much to everyone who was part of this walk.
“I wish a lot of success to the club and to everyone who continues this story.”
Last season, Jonny made 13 appearances with the Spartans, scoring two goals.
For the Brazilian, it was his second spell with the Spartans. Earlier in his career, he had helped Ħamrun Spartans win two league titles and the Super Cup.
Jonny will now continue his career with FK Novi Pazar in the Serbian top-flight.
