Malta international scored in UEFA Nations League showdown against Latvia in December.
Maria Farrugia marked an important milestone in her club career with a well-taken goal for Lewes, last Sunday.
The second-tier club hosted former Women’s Super League club Reading in a home game in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
The Malta international scored one of the two goals which helped Lewes secure a 2-2 draw.
For Farrugia, on her 11th appearance for the club, this was her first goal for Lewes.
More importantly, though, this was Farrugia’s 90th appearance in English football having already played for Sunderland (55 games), Durham (21 games) and Durham Academy (3 games).
The Reading’s match was also Farrugia’s 55th appearance in the prestigious England’s second-tier, Championship.
