BOV Challenge League
The Challenge League is a professional league previously known as Division One. The Championship is the second-tier of Maltese football and for season 2019-20 will be comprising of 15 teams. The championship operates on a promotion and relegation system with the top two teams earning a place in the Premier League with the bottom two demoted to the National Amateur League.
