Joseph Mbong is a new Ħamrun Spartans players after the Reds on Wednesday morning agreed terms with Hibernians over the transfer of the Malta international.
The two clubs have been holding talks over the transfer of the Malta starlet for the past week but the final breakthrough between the two parties was struck on Wednesday paving the way for Mbong to leave the Paolites and join Ħamrun Spartans.
It is understood that Hibernians were keen to keep hold of Mbong but the player made it clear that he is keen to move to Ħamrun Spartans.
Mbong is the second Malta international player to join the Spartans this summer following the arrival of Juan Corbalan, from Gżira United.
Added to that, at Ħamrun Mbong will reunite with Imanol Iriberri with whom he shared the pitch at Hibernians last season, as the Argentine striker has also decided to join the Reds this summer.
Mbong is expected to cross the channel and head to Gozo to join his new team-mates who are currently undergoing pre-season training camp with coach Mark Buttigieg.
