Eugenie Le Sommer has signed a two-year extension to her contract with Lyon which ties the France forward to the club until 2023, the European champions announced on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old is Lyon’s all-time top scorer with 272 goals in 326 appearances since arriving from Stade Briochin in 2010.
Le Sommer has won seven women’s Champion Leagues and 10 French league titles with the club, and has also scored 86 times in 174 appearances for her national team.
She is the fifth Lyon player to sign a new deal this season after former Ballon d’Or winner Ada Hegerberg, Manon Revelli and fellow France internationals Griedge Mbock Amandine Henry.
