Ħamrun Spartans’ striker Jorge Ailton Soares, aka Dodo, has been voted the BOV Player of the Month for the third consecutive time during this season.
The Spartans have been declared champions after the BOV Premier League was brought to an abrupt termination due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Once again, Soares proved himself a vital asset during the month of February in order for his club to achieve this success.
In fact, in February Ħamrun Spartans registered four wins in a row against Gudja United, Birkirkara, Balzan and Gżira United, with Dodo scoring a brace in the first two matches.
Dodo was meant to receive this award during one of the matches scheduled for March, however with this season’s premature halt, the player has since left the country, so the club has recently received the trophy on his stead. The player has chosen ‘The Little Sisters of the Poor’ to benefit from the charitable donation associated with this award
