Carolina Morace’s side needed a win to climb into the top-flight and they did so thanks to two second-half goals.
Martin’s freekick and Francesca Pittaccio handed Lazio a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Roma Calcio Femminile to secure three precious points and Serie A promotion.
Malta midfielder Cuschieri was a starter for Lazio and was denied the goal after hitting the crossbar in the second half.

Meanwhile, defender Lipman was absent from the game as she was serving a one-match ban after last weekend’s yellow card.
With two games remaining in the Serie B campaign, Lazio sit second on 47 points – two behind leaders Pomigliano Calcio.
Next weekend, the Biancocelesti will face Vicenza Calcio Femminile before wrapping up their Serie B season against Tavagnacco.
