Malta women duo Emma Lipman and Rachel Cuschieri have sealed the Serie B title after coming from behind to defeat Tavagnacco 2-1 on the last day of the season.
Lazio were already assured of the Serie A promotion a couple of weeks ago, but they were still in the hunt for the Serie B title.
After they pipped leaders Pomigliano following their narrow win over Vicenza last week, Lazio headed into this game with a one-point lead.
Lazio made sure of the title as they won 2-1 whereas Pomigliano fell 1-0 at the hands of Ravenna as the Biancocelesti side won the Serie B championship.
With 26 games, Lazio finished with the meanest defense with just 21 goals conceded and the best attack with a staggering 62 goals scored.
Carolina Morace side will be playing Serie A football next season after an absence of eight years.
