The Malta Football Players Association have announced that for this year’s awards ceremony they have included a Best XI from the women’s league, the body said in a statement.
Traditionally, the MFA always announces the Best XI from the BOV Premier League but this year they have decided to also include the top 11 players from the women’s top league.
“We are super excited to announce that this year’s MFPA Awards will have a thrilling new addition,” the MFPA said in a statement.
“For the first time ever, MFPA will recognise the stellar performances of the Best XI players from the women’s league. The same format as the men’s Best XI will be used.
“The 33 nominees have been selected by the coaches from the women’s league. We thank them for their invaluable contribution.
“Only players from the women’s league, who are members of MFPA will be the ones that vote for the Best XI.
“Those who want to vote but are not as yet MFPA members can join now: https://www.maltafpa.com/member-registration”
