Earlier this month, the Times of Malta had revealed that the Valletta forward was set to start a new adventure in Ireland rather than in Northern Ireland after his move to Linfield was called off.
Nwoko, who will join the Irish side on a loan deal from Valletta, will be staying at the club until the end of the season – November 11 – before his loan spell comes to an end.
“It feels very good to have signed, I’m really looking forward to getting started and to help the team continue to process in the league for the rest of the season,” Nwoko told the club’s social media.
“I’ve had a few good seasons with Valletta, winning a couple of leagues, I felt I need a new challenge and I’m really happy to be here.
As a player you want to play at the top level and to be competing for titles so this is a really good challenge and opportunity for me, and I want to help the team as much as I can.”
St Patrick’s coach Stephen O’Donnell expressed his happinness for the signing of Nwoko.
“We are really happy to sign Kyrian in on loan until the end of the year.
He has played 21 times for his country and scored goals, while he has also won a couple of league titles in Malta, he’s a very good player who will add a lot to our group.”
St Patrick’s are currently joint-leaders of the Irish top-tier together with Shamrock Rovers on 41 points.
Both teams will cross swords with each other on Friday.
Meanwhile, St Patrick’s have drawn Cork City in the second round of the Irish which will be played on August 29.
