The Malta women U-19’s side will face Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan and Faroe Islands in the second round of the 2022 Women’s U-19’s European Championship qualifications, following Thursday’s draw.
Malta, coached by Frank Schembri, finished bottom of their first round group in League B after losing to Romania, Georgia and Israel.

In the previous round, Azerbaijan and Northern Ireland finished bottom of their League A groups and were relegated whereas Faroe Islands finished third in their League B group.
A record 52 teams are involved in these UEFA Nations League-style U-19’s European Championships.
