The Premier League leaders have been very active in the final days of the transfer market to try and strengthen their squad.
Following the arrival of Spanish midfielder Alvaro Muniz Cegarra last week, the Paolites announced on Monday morning of Portuguese forward Hugo Vieira.
However, their transfer activity continued when they announced that they had acquired the services of Ali Diakite.
“We would like to announce the signing of 28 year old Ivorian midfielder Ali Diakité,” the club said in a statement.
“Ali started his career with Pobla de Mafumet CF in Spain, before moving to UB Conquense in 2014. Ali has always played in Spain and he played with several clubs in the Segunda Division B including SD Leioa, CD Guadalarja, UD Melilla, CD Badajoz, Lorca Deportiva, Villanovense, CD Alcoyano and Socuéllamos.
“In 2021, he was part of the CD Alcoyano team, who eliminated Real Madrid CF from the Copa del Rey. He also assisted the winning goal scored by Juanan.
“We would like to welcome Ali to the club and wish him the best of luck for the following season.”
