Updated: Hibernians vs Ħamrun Spartans moved to Monday, April 4

The Malta Football Association announced that the much-awaited Premier League clash between leaders Hibernians and Ħamrun Spartans has been moved back to Monday, April 4.

On Thursday night, the Malta FA had originally said that the clash between the Paolites and the Spartans would get the third round of the Premier League under way on Saturday, April 2 at the National Stadium.

However, without giving any details the Malta FA said that the match has been now been put back by 48 hours and will be played on April 4 at the National Stadium, with kick-off time set at 5pm and will be followed by the clash between Birkirkara and Gudja United at 8.15pm.

Meanwhile, the match between Sirens and Valletta, which was originally scheduled for Monday, April 4, has been put forward to Saturday, April 2 at 6pm.

On Sunday, April 3, Floriana will take on Gżira United at the National Stadium, with the match set to start at 6pm.

The remaining four matches of the opening programme of the third round on Monday, April 4.

The other two games from the Play-Out Final Round will be played on Monday, April 4 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium with Sliema Wanderers facing Mosta at 5pm while Balzan take on Sta Lucia at 8.15pm.

The much-awaited top-of-the-table clash between Hibernians and Floriana will be played on Saturday, April 9 at the National Stadium, with the match kicking off at 4pm.

There are two other matches scheduled for April 9, namely Sta Lucia vs Sirens at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, starting at 3pm followed by the match Mosta vs Balzan at 6.15pm.

The other three matches from Match Day 24 will be played on Sunday, April 10, when Gżira United face Birkirkara at the National Stadium at 3pm followed by the clash between Gudja United and Ħamrun Spartans at 6.15pm.

At the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Valletta play Sliema Wanderers at 4pm.
