New Zealand’s clash with Costa Rica for a spot at the Qatar World Cup will take place on June 14, it was announced Wednesday.
The intercontinental play-off had already been earmarked for mid-June in Doha but there was no definite date.
New Zealand Football confirmed on Twitter the date for the crunch match.
The winner will take their place in a formidable World Cup Group E in Qatar, alongside former champions Germany and Spain, and Japan.
The Kiwis are bidding to reach the World Cup finals for the third time, having played in the global showpiece in 1982 and 2010.
The Qatar World Cup begins on November 21.
