Midfielder Ryan Scicluna will continue his career at Birkirkara after prolonging his contract, the club announced on their social media channels.
“Birkirkara FC is pleased to confirm the contract extension of academy product, Ryan Scicluna,” the club said in a statement.
Scicluna, 28, was a key figure for Birkirkara during the previous 2021/2022 campaign with 22 appearances in the top-flight. He also played in their four UEFA Europa League conference qualifiers and three times in the FA Trophy.
With over 260 games for Birkirkara, Scicluna has established himself at the club with whom he started his senior career back in the 2009/2010 season when he made his league debut against Dingli Swallows.
Throughout his career, he also played for Balzan and Sirens while making eight appearances for the Malta national team.
