Sliema Wanderers have bolstered their defensive department with the arrival of defender Gustavo Alcino.
Born in Brazil, Alcino is a 25-year-old central defender that is embarking in his second European spell of his career.
Alcino was on the books of Portimonense U-23’s side and AC Marinhense between 2019 and 2021, featuring in six games.
In his native Brazil, Alcino played with several clubs as he featured in the Serie B at Operario Ferroviario Esporte Clube – his most recent club, parting ways in April.
The Blues described Alcino an experienced player with impressive defensive abilities, aerial prowess and and composed on the ball.
