Clare Hunt, a semi-finalist with Australia at this year’s Women’s World Cup, has signed for Paris Saint-Germain, the French club announced on Friday.
“Paris Saint-Germain are happy to announce the arrival of Clare Hunt for the next three seasons,” PSG said.
The 24-year-old defender, who has 24 international caps, helped to knock out France on penalties in the quarter-finals at the World Cup in August before losing 3-1 to England in the last four.
Australia, who co-hosted the tournament, then lost their third-place play-off to Sweden.
At club level Hunt has played for Canberra United, Sydney University and Western Sydney Wanderers.
PSG finished runners-up to Lyon in the French women’s league last season.
