Antonella Chouhal won bronze in Weight Throw event.
Four athletes represented Malta in this year’s prestigious European Masters Athletics Championships Indoor held in Torun, Poland.
David Bezzina, Neil Brimmer, Antonella Chouhal and Rachid Chouhal were the Maltese representatives as they took part in at least two events each.
In the case of Antonella Chouhal and David Bezzina, they were involved in three different sports.
With a season best 12.77, Chouhal finished third in the Weight Throw (W45 category) while placing fourth in both Discus Throw (28.40) and Hammer Throw (38.34).
Bezzina, M40, finished 23rd overall in the 200m (26.29), 12th in the 400m with a season best 57.94 and 17th in the 800, producing another season best time of 2:13.89.
Meanwhile, Rachid Chouhal (M45) finished 13th overall with a 7.47 in the 60m event.
His 5.88 mark in the long jump earned him a seventh place as well.
Neil Brimmer finished 14th overall in the 800m race (M35) after posting a time of 2:05.09.
