Maria Farrugia has been named the Barclays Women’s Championship Player of the Month for March.
The Malta international played an important for Lewes FC last month, scoring twice and assisting on two occasions as they defeated Sheffield United (2-1) and Watford (2-1).
Farrugia was part of the Malta national team that launched their UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifications in League B against Northern Ireland and Portugal.
The former Sunderland player has 42 caps and seven goals for Malta.
