Malta men’s 4x100m relay team managed to clock a new national record at the prestigious Lignano Sabbiadoro meet, in Italy.
Omar El Aida Chaffey, Luke Bezzina, Graham Pellegrini and Beppe Grillo formed Malta’s quartet which finished its race in 40.51, six tenths better than the previous time which was set just in May at the Balkan Championships.
Grillo, who won Saturday’s Brugnera meet 100m race at 10.52 and raced on Sunday in a time of 10.67, will represent Malta in this summer’s Paris 2024 games.
