Swieqi Phoenix Nium, Falcons off to winning start in Super League

The women’s Super League got under way last weekend with Swieqi Phoenix Nium and Falcons both registered victories in their opening matches at the Cottonera Sports Complex.

Falcons kickstarted their campaign when they brushed aside newly-prompted side Mġarr 3-0.

Champions Swieqi Phoenix Nium broke little sweat to overcome the challenge of Birkirkara 3-0.

The season resumes next weekend when on Saturday Swieqi Phoenix Nium and Falcons face off in the Super Cup final on Saturday.

On Sunday, the Super League resumes when Flyers take on Birkirkara VC.
