Piotr Zielinski will miss Inter Milan’s fixture with Roma after the Serie A club said on Thursday that the Poland midfielder has picked up a thigh injury.
Inter said that after returning from international duty with a knock, Zielinski, 30, underwent tests in Milan which “revealed a strain to his right thigh”.
“His condition will be monitored day by day,” added Inter.
Italian champions Inter travel to Rome for Sunday’s clash, two points behind league leaders Napoli.
Coach Simone Inzaghi could also be without Nicolo Barella, who has not fully recovered from a thigh injury of his own, leaving room for fellow Italy midfielder Davide Frattesi.
