The ASA of Malta announced that apart from his contribution to the Malta National team as a player, Stevie Camilleri will also be joining the Malta Waterpolo national team Management & Coaching set-up in the role of technical consultant.
“Stevie will bring along with him a wealth of experience which will surely have a positive influence on all categories of the national team,” the ASA said in a statement.
“He will be working closely with waterpolo national team head coach Milan Cirovic, and all the management and coaching staff.
“Stevie’s role will also involve him in, (i) Discussions with management & coaching staff, to improve Maltese water polo in all categories, (ii) sharing best practices, to change and streamline present policies, (iii) deliver motivational speeches, (iv) participate in programmes to promote the game of water polo, (vi) assist, and be actively involved in coaching sessions.
“We are convinced that Stevie will be a big asset to the national team set-up, as we continue with our mission to improve the level of performance of water polo on all fronts, locally and internationally.”
