Ħamrun Spartans have announced the signing of Bolivian forward Cesar Menacho.
The 25-year-old is a Bolivian international and is joining the Spartans from Bolivian top-flight side Club Blooming.
Menacho has enjoyed a prolific campaign with Club Blooming after managing to score 13 goals in 34 appearances.
The speedy forward’s arrival will further enhance the attacking options of coach Alessandro Zinnari who is looking to steer the Spartans towards a third successive Premi League title.
The Spartans have already underlined their scoring potential last weekend when they outclassed Marsaxlokk 6-1 with Raphael Lopes netting a hat-trick.
Menacho has spent all his career in Bolivia as after coming through the youth ranks of Club Blooming he went on to don the colours of Bolivar and Wilstermann before returning to Club Blooming last year.
Menacho has represented his country six times, including in three World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador (0-4), Colombia (3-0) and Brazil (0-5).
Menacho is the second Bolivian forward to land in the Maltese Premier League as Floriana have also signed winger Gabriel Sotomayor.
Menacho is the Spartans’ fifth signing this month following the arrival of defenders Bacary Sane and Ognjen Bjelicic, midfielder Jovan Cadjenovic and winger Amoustapha Kairou.
