Teddy Teuma will have the chance to guide his Reims team into the French Cup final as they were handed a favourable draw in the semi-final.
Reims, who have slumped into 15th place in the 18-team Ligue 1, will travel to fourth-tier side Cannes in the one-legged semis to try and book a spot in the final, pencilled for May 24 at the Stade de France.
The other semi-final pits minnows USL Dunkuerque, from the second-tier, against French powerhouse Paris with the matches set to be played on April 1 and April 2.
Reims, captained by Malta international Teuma, needed a penalty shoot-out to dispatch of Angers in the quarter-finals and advance for their first semi-finals since 1988.
They last lifted this cup in 1958.
However, Cannes have showed they are no pushovers in this competition as they are at the end of a stunning 3-1 win over second-tier side Guingamp in the quarter-finals.
Top of the fourth-tier of France, Cannes – a semi-professional team – are unbeaten since October 19, largely thanks to forward Julien Dominguez who netted 10 goals in just six cup matches.
