Qala Saints secured a crucial victory over Xewkija Tigers to move just three points away from mathematically clinching their first-ever league title.
SK Victoria Wanderers and Għajnsielem played out a draw, while Oratory Youths secured a victory over Xagħra United.
Qala Saints moved closer to securing an historical league title with a narrow 1-0 win against Xewkija Tigers.
Qala were determined to secure the win. Initially they struggled to break the deadlock.
The Saints dominated possession from the early stages but found it difficult to convert their chances.
In the 13th minute, they were unlucky when a shot by Igor Nedeljkovic struck the crossbar. However, Xewkija also came close to taking the lead early in the second half when a powerful strike by Stefan Cassar was deflected onto the post by goalkeeper Owen Attard.
The winning goal came in the 79th minute when Nedeljkovic tapped in from close range after receiving a pass from Ezequiel Eduardo Ruiz.
SK Victoria Wanderers and Għajnsielem, fighting to avoid finishing second from last in the standings, took a point each following a 1-1 draw.
This result keeps the Wanderers one point ahead of Għajnsielem and in a better position to finish in fifth place.
For most of the match, SK Victoria Wanderers controlled possession and took the initiative but were wasteful in front of goal while Għajnsielem threatened with quick transitions.
The Wanderers looked on course for victory when they took the lead in the 79th minute through Igor Henrique, who fired home following a David Garba cross.
However, in the 88th minute, Ghajnsielem equalised from a penalty, awarded following a challenge by Neil Camilleri on Naim Ibrahim Belhadj.
Marcus Vinicius converted the spot-kick to secure a point for his side.
Oratory Youths finally broke their losing streak with a 2-1 victory over Xagħra United, securing their first positive result of the season.
Despite being already relegated, Oratory showed determination to claim their first points of the season.
The Youths surprised their opponents early on, taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Nicolas Miranda in the 21st minute, and Geordie Ellis, who stunned the goalkeeper with a long-range strike in the 26th minute.
Xagħra responded late in the first half, pulling a goal back through a header by Johan Castano.
Moments later, Xagħra nearly equalised, but another effort from Castano struck the post.
In the second half, Xagħra struggled to find their rhythm, and the score remained unchanged.
GFA DIVISION TWO
Kerċem Ajax, who have already been mathematically crowned champions of the Second Division, secured their 13th win in 13 matches with a 3-0 victory over St Lawrence Spurs.
All goals came in the second half, through Andrea Debrincat (59), Andrew Mizzi (64), and Cesar Velez Da Silva (80).
Sannat Lions consolidated second place with an emphatic 4-0 victory in a direct clash against Munxar Falcons.
Sannat opened the scoring in the 34th minute through Aud-Gustine James Obaje and dominated the second half, adding three more goals through Eric Gauci (47), George Portelli (80), and Gabriel Debrincat (90).
Żebbuġ Rovers recorded a dominant 6-0 victory over Għarb Rangers, moving level with St Lawrence in the league table.
The Rovers effectively sealed the three points early, scoring four goals in the first half through Luke Portelli (12), Harry Paulin (22), Gustavo Dos Santos (29), and Nathan John Cini (42).
Għarb never looked capable of making a comeback, and Żebbuġ added two more goals in the second half scored by Paul Spiteri (57) and Harry Paulin (69).
Meanwhile, Sannat Lions and Kercem Ajax secured their place in the Division Two Knock Out final with victories over Munxar Falcons and Gharb Rangers, respectively.
Sannat Lions came from behind to defeat Munxar Falcons 2-1, despite Munxar being the more offensive team for most of the match.
Munxar took the lead in the eighth minute through Daniel Azzopardi, but Sannat turned the game around with a brace from Obaje (54, 82).
In the second minute of added time, Christian Dingli of Sannat received a red card for a foul in midfield.
In the second semi-final, Kerċem Ajax dominated the match against Għarb, securing a 6-0 win to qualify for the final.
Kerċem took control early on, scoring two quick goals through Ryan Saliba (10) and Velez Da Silva (16). They sealed the win in the second half with four more goals, through a brace each from Velez Da Silva (62, 67) and Samuel Azzopardi (66, 71).
