This summer, young football enthusiasts in Malta will have an unparalleled opportunity to train with one of Italy’s most iconic football legends, Francesco “Ciccio” Graziani.
The World Cup champion, widely known for his remarkable career and his role as a popular sports pundit, will host the Ciccio Graziani Football Academy Training Camp – Malta Edition from July 1 and 5.
The camp will take place daily at the Melita Football Club in Pembroke, from 9am till 12pm.
Designed for children born between 2010 and 2015, the camp provides an exclusive opportunity for young players to receive coaching directly from Graziani and his team of expert trainers.
The Ciccio Graziani Football Academy focuses on developing both technical football skills and personal growth in a team-oriented environment.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Ciccio Graziani Academy to Malta,” said Graziani.
“This presents an incredible opportunity for young players to refine their skills while gaining valuable lessons in teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. I’m eager to connect and work with the aspiring footballers in Malta and share my knowledge and experiences to help them grow.
“We’re extremely pleased with the response so far. Within just a few days, we’ve seen a fantastic turnout, achieving close to 50% of our intake goal”
Throughout the camp, in collaboration with Rising Star Scouting MT, participants will benefit from exclusive masterclasses where they can hone advanced football techniques and strategies under Graziani’s guidance.
Goalkeepers will also receive specialised coaching from Renato Copparoni, a legendary Italian goalkeeper with a storied history at Torino FC, including his iconic penalty save against Diego Maradona.
Copparoni has also trained world-class goalkeepers such as Angelo Peruzzi and Luca Marchegiani.
In addition to the technical sessions, the camp will include the chance to engage in an interactive Q&A with Ciccio Graziani which will also be open for the parents of the participants, gaining valuable insights from his legendary career.
Each participant will receive a branded training kit, a certificate of participation, and a personalised, autographed photo with Graziani.
A highlight of this camp is the potential for talent identification, with the possibility for select participants to be invited to trials with major Italian football clubs, including but not limited to AS Roma, Torino, and AC Fiorentina.
In addition to talent identification by Graziani himself, the camp will host a special guest – an Italian scout working both freelance and with international agencies. Pepe Maurizio, a professional football scout and Match Analyst from Bologna, will be present.
Recognized by the Technical Sector of Coverciano, he specializes in assessing players’ performances, technical and tactical skills, and future potential.
Moving forward, Graziani plans to host two to three football camps annually, typically during the off-season when Serie A is not in action or during international breaks offering young players the chance to learn from his wealth of experience.
Through his academy, Graziani offers aspiring footballers the chance to learn from his vast experience at the highest levels of the game.
The Ciccio Graziani Football Academy continues to grow, providing training camps, development programs, and talent scouting opportunities worldwide.
Through his academy, Graziani continues to mentor the next generation of players, sharing his extensive knowledge and love for the sport.
Registrations are open through Rising Star Scouting MT.
